Rent little fishermenboats, made of wood and equipped of oars, from our base of the Asese Bay, in front of the Mombacho Volcano.

These boats are made on site by local people living on the islands who have always been fishing in the Bay, in a traditional way.

   With these rowing boats you will discover, like real local people, other places of the Islands and thePeninsula.

You will pass in their everyday life, schoolchildren, fishermen and island-to-island saleswomen, all on board of their multicoloured wooden boats.

You will have access to the jetty owned by the local inhabitants via a track used only by the people living in the Islands and thePeninsula.

     This track will allow you, from the Cocibolca Marina, and all along the 5 km of distance, to discover an amazing flora, fantastic lakeside vegetation, huge trees, remarkable banana plantations, and a wide range of local and migrating birds, and also if you are lucky enough, some monkeys families.

To reach the jetty and start your boat tour you will have the choice between walking or riding amountain bike rented at our Cocibolca Marina base.

These bikes can also be rented on their own, without any boat tour booking, simply to discover thePeninsula.

We will give you detailed itineraries and, for your security and comfort, oars and life jackets as well as a waterproof protection for all your belongings.
 

Moreover, on request, cool boxes or Esky, and binoculars will be provided.

Pickup available from your hotel.

Make sure to leave early to see the maximum of birds (We can provide binoculars on request)
Don’t forget your sunscreen, some protective clothing and a hat
